Mobile Physio Carseldine

Mobile Physio in Carseldine

Carseldine has changed a lot over the years, with the old QUT Carseldine campus on Beams Road being redeveloped into Carseldine Village, bringing new homes, shops and community facilities into the area. It's a leafy, established suburb close to Carseldine station, and I see a good number of clients here managing everything from desk-related back and neck pain to injuries from running, walking and cycling around the local parks and bikeways.

Local Community and Sport

Carseldine is home to Graham Road Oval, where the Aspley Hornets play in the Queensland Australian Football League, and residents are well placed for a range of other clubs across the Bracken Ridge and Strathpine areas, from Bracken Ridge District Cricket Club at McPherson Park to Ridge Hills United in Bald Hills. I bring the same sports-specific rehabilitation approach to Carseldine clients as I do anywhere else in my service area, whether you're managing a chronic issue or a fresh injury.

PRP Physio Core Values and Beliefs

PRP Physio as a business is built upon 7 enduring core values and beliefs. I hold myself to these values and use them to guide how I conduct myself as an individual and as an entity.

Great Relationships

Every interaction I have is with a unique individual, I will treat each interaction with the utmost respect and care. I believe that without great relationships, I cannot build a great business to serve the community.

Great Service

The crux of my business depends upon great service, without great service I cannot successfully impact the community on the scale I desire. I will always stay abreast of the latest techniques and research to ensure you are receiving optimised care.

Friends First

I will treat all our interactions with the utmost professionalism, but I will always aim to develop a relationship with you as a person, you are not defined by your injury. I will develop a relationship with you as a person at the same time as providing superior service.

Receptive to Innovation

I will remain receptive to new concepts and ways of doing things regardless of where or who the idea comes from. I recognise that the community will often provide the greatest source of innovation and progress.

Community Service

My work is often provided on a 1-to-1 basis, but my underlying goal is to provide a positive contribution to society at large by promoting healthy and active lifestyles.

I Welcome all Questions

Whether it be a question of my services or how I handle my business, questions are always recommended. I believe in radical transparency with my business and service, and I highly value well-informed interactions.

Profit comes Second

All great businesses require profits to succeed, however, I believe profits are not the main goal of my company. Servicing the community to the greatest extent possible comes first, which will flow into a profitable company.

What to Expect

Sessions run for a full 45 minutes, with everything needed brought directly to you, and no referral is required. Before and after hours appointments are available for those balancing work and family commitments.

About Nathan

I'm Nathan Ashby, an APA physiotherapist and the founder of PRP Physio. I didn't set out to be a physio. I was headed for accounting until a basketball injury put me on the other side of the treatment table, and I realised I wanted a career helping people get back to the sport, activities and family time they love. Since graduating from James Cook University in 2015, I've worked in private practice across North Lakes, Everton Park and the Brisbane CBD, treating everyone from Olympic, Commonwealth and Paralympic athletes to weekend players, and working alongside exercise physiologists, strength coaches and podiatrists.

I opened PRP Physio in 2020 and now run it as a fully mobile clinic, because I believe clients deserve time. Longer consults mean more in-depth conversations, more of your questions answered and more hands-on treatment, and seeing you in your own home or training environment gives me a much better picture of your day-to-day life. My special interests include ACL rehabilitation (surgical and non-surgical), hamstring and groin injuries, tendon pain, shoulder injuries, adolescent sports injuries and recovery after orthopaedic surgery. I've developed evidence-based rehab programs for these conditions and an injury-screening program used with Queensland Academy of Sport athletes, and I hold qualifications in dry needling and APA Sports Level 1. Locally, I've been head physiotherapist for clubs including Caboolture Sports FC, Narangba Eagles and North Lakes United.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me trail running, cooking something new or trying to keep my veggie garden alive.

Carseldine Mobile Physio FAQs

Most of my Carseldine clients see me for sports injuries, back or neck pain, tendon problems, or rehab after surgery such as an ACL reconstruction. Each session combines a thorough assessment with hands-on treatment, which may include soft tissue work, joint mobilisations, dry needling or taping, and a home exercise program built around your goals. See my services page for everything I offer.

Every session is $110, whether it's your first visit or a follow-up, and that includes extras like dry needling, taping and exercise bands. Private health rebates can be claimed for each session. If your GP has set you up with a care plan, Medicare pays part of the fee and your gap is $46.60. There's nothing to pay for approved WorkCover, DVA or third-party insurance claims. See my pricing page for more.

Plan for 45 minutes. I keep first visits and follow-ups the same length, so there's always time for a proper assessment, hands-on treatment and your questions. For DVA clients, appointments are 30 minutes.

Once you've booked online or by phone, I come to you at home, at work or at training anywhere in Carseldine, with all the equipment I need. We start with a chat about your injury and goals, then an assessment, hands-on treatment and an exercise plan you can do at home. Just wear comfortable clothes and have a little space to move. You don't need a referral unless you're claiming through Medicare, WorkCover, DVA or third-party insurance, and before and after hours appointments are available.

Book a Visit

If you're in Carseldine, get in touch or book online and I'll come to you. I also regularly see clients in nearby Bald Hills, Bracken Ridge and Strathpine, and across the rest of my service area.
